If you are in the Piani Resinelli, you cannot miss a stop at Cima Paradiso.
This small peak, reached in less than an hour’s walk, offers a unique view of the Grignetta and the Lecco branch of Lake Como.
The path
The trail starts near Valentino Park or the SEL Shelter, and is suitable even for the inexperienced, as long as you have hiking shoes (as always!).
Following the Coltigone loop you will arrive at the Villa Gerosa House Museum. We tell you about it in detail HERE.
Having arrived here you must make your first decision.
You can take the long route by heading toward the Panoramic Footbridge. From there then continue to Monte Coltignone and finally follow the signs to Cima Paradiso.
Please note, the distance and GPX we show you in this article refer to this option.
Differently, if you are short on time, you can opt for the short route. From Villa Gerosa, follow directly the directions to Cima Paradiso.
In both cases after a stretch in the woods, you come out onto a sunny clearing that leads to the summit. Once here, the view sweeps over peaks, valleys and clouds. On a clear day it is a true wonder.
Why go?
Cima Paradiso is ideal for a walk at the end of which you can enjoy a crazy view.
When you arrive at your destination, you can take a picnic break or simply lay out on the lawn to soak up some sun.
Highly recommended for an outdoor lunch.
